Job Description:
This is a key technology leader role for an Ed Tech Enterprise Architect that will support the foundation and evolution of a new platform that will enable the goals of the Networking Academy Program.
This role would be responsible for engaging with the CTO and business operations teams for Net Academy, utilizing the strategic business and technical requirements to create an overall product architecture design for development and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and building the foundational architecture strategy aligning with the business roadmap and plans to create and deliver learner-centric user experiences
- Aligning Ed Tech technical and business strategies
- Design and Architect a solution navigating ambiguity.
- Assess current architecture and build roadmap for new platform.
- Analyze a business objectives and assessing technical opportunities, risks, benefits, and costs
- Bringing a strategic perspective to the adoption of new ideas
- Identify and suggest relevant framework, platform, or technology stack to be used for a given solution
- Implementing transformation and transitional architecture
- Collaborate with Business project management and solution development teams.
Required skills & abilities:
- The candidate should have minimum experience of 10 years in building platforms and solutions in the EdTech sector (preferably) or education programs/projects in the private and/or public sector with minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Should be self-driven, passionate about Education and Ed Tech, entrepreneurial, and able to deal with ambiguity.
- Proven experience in engineering and architecture design for developing EdTech solutions across learning engineering design, learning content distribution, Learning management, Mobility, Content Authoring and Learning Analytics
- Experience with adaptive learning capabilities based on IMS Global, Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), and other EdTech standards
- Experience with ADL standards as Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), Experience Application Programming Interface (xAPI), Total Learning Architecture (TLA), Competency Frameworks, Competency Management, Credential Management, Learning Management Systems, Learner Record Store, Learner Profile, Assessment engine, etc.
- Experience with IMS Global standards, especially LTI, LOR, LRS, LTI Resource Search, CASE, Common Cartridge, QTI, etc.
- Experience with Java, Node.JS, Python, microservices, serverless, HTML5/JavaScript/CSS, ReactJS/GraphQL
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL datastores such as Postgres, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis
- Experience with big data systems such as Spark, Kafka, Kinesis, Airflow, Glue and machine learning frameworks/toolkits
- DevOps/Scale Agile Frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to lead and partner with cross-functional and virtual teams, making recommendations/decisions in situations of ambiguity and time pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to provide guidance, identify risks, and assess the technology architecture and infrastructure of the platform/solution
